Yoga
I was introduced to Yoga in the late 60’s at a very early age (mimicking my mother following along with TV classes!) It wasn’t until the 90’s however that I began to take practice seriously, studying with yogis in the temples of Southern India and then completing my Teacher Training at ITS YOGA in San Francisco in 1999.
Since then I have trained extensively with maverick teachers like Ed Clarke of the Trypsicore Yoga Theatre, Rusty Wells and others. In 2004 I returned to ITS YOGA for advanced trainings.
I have been teaching for 10 years, developing my own style and form based on the principles of Ashtanga Vinyasa, incorporating contemporary dynamics to suite western culture and mind sets.
I teach group and private classes. My clients include people in the music business and other high profile lifestyles.
What I teach is challenging, as almost everyone is unaware of their capabilities.
It is dynamic, exhilarating and extremely rewarding. Your body guides you where it needs to go. Once body awareness begins, you start to “wake up” and the possibilities are endless.
As you allow yourself to go deeper and deeper into your practice, allowing the energies to flow, developing physically, you begin to notice how you develop emotionally and spiritually. It all merges together organically, the ever unfolding journey is a natural process, you just have to be patient and trust, then you reap the rewards…..
